Very nice pic, looks good zoomed in....my only suggestion would be to give the bird more room to fly into, otherwise nicely done!!

I thought red tailed hawks have reddish orange tails? I think this might be a Merlin Hawk, google it in images and I think you might agree? A beautiful in flight catch regardless!!!!! Bravo!!!!!

ok checked it out with my bird guy and it's a juvenile red-tailed hawk :-) the tail will be more reddish in time

thanks everyone! and CavalierLady thank you.... it was the best shot i could get considering i was standing up thru the sunroof of a moving vehicle (5mph on dirt road) and the hawk was flying lol and i was using the monster 80-400mm lens handheld THANK GOODNESS for VR hahahaha what a wonderful invention! lol
