I wanted to wait and upload this next image from last Fri's Shootout until I could get all the links together, but I'm being lazy here, I'll admit, cause I got more images waiting to be uploaded, so for now, do a web search for 'the Clockwork Cabaret'...it's a weekly radio show on a local Triangle radio station...they're a full steampunk show, complete with back stories for the main characters, aka, the Davenport Sisters, orphaned daughters of two great scientists when their parents were killed by the nefarious CLANNG, now the travel the world in their zephyr broadcasting from the early 1900's...psst, and they even got podcasts to catch up on the old stories and listen to some interesting and obsucre music!
So yeah, without a further ado...this pic, ta daaaaaa....more of them to come, very very soon!

Call in Jim West! Artimus Gordon won't be far behind. You should consider doing a series of panels of this, arranged as a graphic novel using your period style photography and sell it for publication! You could have your models do all the acting, you can build a lot of stage sets in 3d and composite everything together. (For things outside a slim budget) I think such a steam punk novel would sell, if done right. And this splash page suggests that you could do it.
