Description

Dunno if this is actually a turtle or a toitoise but I named this "cowabunga" as them little guys reminded me of the turles from the kids cartoon series. Am I showing my age now ??? anyways... I was attracted to the red around the eyes and the overall friskyness of the amphibiants in the water. Had to shoot them and see if it would work out as the light was really rubbish. Not to bad a result I think, I know I could have done better though xx

It is a red ear slider. A water turtle. They make excellent pets and grow to between 10 and 14 inch shells at maturity. They live an average of 30 years. This is a stellar capture.
