Simplicity? ... well, maybe superficially. Watercolour, is an unforgiving medium which requires a sureness of touch. There are no second chances. If you've never painted with watercolours you might miss the high level of craft here - the use of empty white space, the superb layering in the water and the variety of brushstrokes in the trees. Simplicity? ... well maybe in the subject, though it is good to see that the spare beauty of January has its homage. This would grace anyone's wall. Mike

Once I saw this film called: "Mrs. Soffel" Diane Keaton . Mel Gibson This snowy landscape reminds me of "where they were captured" Kinda bitter-sweet looking at your work, Meg ... I sigh for it's inherent beauty. -Julian
