Description

I'm pretty sure that in 1991 the flower of the genus Coreopsis was designated as Florida's official wildflower. I'm not in Florida, but bought a packet of wildflowers and managed to make them grow. I did Google it, and it was an exact match.

Don't know if that's Florida's state flower but I do know that it's a coreopsis. Had some a few years ago which early on in the season a driving rain and wind storm destroyed. Never came back up since. Oh well, onto the next plant, I guess....hell, I'll try 'em all. Beautiful capture.
