Description
Today is a very, very sad day for me and my wife. We just heard this morning that a very close friend of us died last Saturday night after a car accident in Hamburg at the age of 42.
We are in complete shock and tears. :(
Being a professional illustrator Christoph was also a Renderosity community member known under his username "nexxon".
We met here at RR over five years ago. He made a couple of comments on my earlier images and we became pretty good friends over the years.
You can find a couple of his amazing illustrations either here in his gallery at RR or on his official homepage Fractalgarden. Back in late 2003 we also did some commercial illustrations together. Some of them can be found in my gallery - it's the christmas pin-up series. Both of us had so much fun to do them.
It's very hard to believe that he's gone now. We had a quick chat on the phone just a few days before his accident and I wish we would have talked longer...
Those of you who knew him will agree that the world lost a very special, warmhearted person and a very talented artist. He'll be sorely missed!
This image is for you Christoph - thank you so much I could call you "a friend". Farewell my friend!
Deine Freunde Phil & Ingrid
