My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Oh yes, indeed, do I GET this one!!! It's all part of life, this constant learning. We will get fooled, but we'll also love, live and feel, and that's what makes it ok. Thanks for reminding me!!

Okay Tara I'll straighen up......got a phone call tonight from a long ago friend, who knew me before I married Larry, but she was always in the background and can't wait to talk to her...I wasn't home when she called.

There is a lot here to ponder in these words from your heart. I especially like the part near the end that begins with "You can take care of you". I need to learn that too.

Another excellent poem and image, Thanks for sharing, Tara :)

Beautiful poem and work.
Chipka
Oooooh! This is stunning and so utterly true...I love this glimpse into your thought processes and your life. Writing is always an excellent way of working stuff out, no matter what form it takes...and in this little gem, there are so many great bit. I especially love: "I have plenty on my plate without worrying about doing your dishes." That's an absolute zinger! I love it! I've felt that way, but I've never expressed it so succinctly! Fantastic!

Ohhhh yes, how many times have you trusted people, loved people, put your faith in people only to be let down, back stabbed or left unceremoniously in the dust !!! Great poem dear Tara!

A bit of profound prose there Tara, but you are not on your own, know that, and take it in, 'you are not on your own'. It could well happen again, we are easily fooled, well most of us are. I sure hope it doesn't happen again for you. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Been there, done it, burnt the T-shirt ... and how wryly you've said it all. Damn the dishes - suggest paper plates! wink Mike

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. In my status as a goodolboy rube, I had to read through your prose three times before I knew where all this was going. When it comes to boundaries, all I know about that subject are barbed and razor wire, fences, walls, doors, gates, appropriate behavior, physical interfacing, lines in the sand, pedestrian crossings, borders, and similar issues. But, nothing about dishes.
frankie96
No dishes...or windows...chin up....

What a wonderful gem of a poem. Just as with Chipka, these words "I have plenty on my plate Without worrying about Doing your dishes As well as my own" have stuck inside my brain, from the moment i read them. So to the point, it could almost be a short poem on it's own. Exceptional stuff!!!!!!
collinbabcock
