The Foxfur Nebula was the same lurid colors of the once living planet of Goddashim. It had once been the home of over a billion humans. They had just achieved space-flight. Now they finally achieved global peace,the unfortunate peace of the grave. Beneath the umber colored Asuran battle-cruiser, the human colony world burned. The cities, the field, all monuments and things built or even touched by humans burned. Between the crust-cutting Hyper-cannons, and the anti-matter war-heads, all human life burned to the magma. An alert sounded on the battle-cruiser, as a huge battleship of the Scourge emerged from hyperspace. Capitan Baphomet of the Asura ship 'Shotan's Wrath',snapped an order, "Scanning officer Djedet! Report!" Djedet tore his eyes from the burning planet below and interfaced with the main computer. After a moment, he reported,"It's a Scourge front-line battleship. It appeared from a TSMD event two kilometers from the Breech Beacon Marker. It's severly damaged. Contact range hyper-velocity nuclear event--severe damage to one third of it's structure, one third of their crew lost. I'd say it's not hyper-space capable from these structural readings. These readings are off. Obviously." The Tactical officer said, "I suggest battle-stations, Capitan. The Scourge aren't predictable." The Communications officer said, "Capitan--the battleship is hailing us. They say they have information about another human world, and wish to send over a representative to discuss the information." Capitan Baphomet said, "We have nothing to discuss with them." After a moment, the Comm Officer said in shock, "Capitan! The Scourge claim to have discovered BALAAM! Our ancient homeworld, and home of the human masters!" The Capitan of the ship looked over at the Scanning officer. Djedet shrugged, and said,"We have nothing to lose. Most of the extermination fleet has departed. We should hear them out." Baphomet nodded and snapped,"Agreed." To the Comm Officer he said,"Tell them to send their delegation over--standard contact protocols in effect." Baphomet ordered, "Battle-stations! Open hangar bay. Prepare to receive Scourge contact party on board! Scanning Officer with me on remote pick-up, and a tactical squad as well. Second officer has the Command and Control." The Scourge shuttlecraft left the huge, smoothly organic looking ship that the Scourge had stolen from a long dead species and flew into the hangar of the Asuran craft. The Asurans were more excited than they wanted to appear. Finally they would find their ancient home and rain their hatred upon their one time human masters and finally exterminate them all. Asuran Starfleet would volatize the entire surface to molten lava , and the Asuran women would carve the remaining human bones into whistles to amuse their children with.
