Description

I saw this egret and he ok if I driveing but the moment I stop he takes off flying. I in my truck and shooting out the window. I keep on doing this for he would just fly 100 yards away. This was my best one of him. Most do fly away if you get close to them. This was at Lake Martin thanks for the comments and votes on all my images.

Your perseverence paid off Jocko, I like this. The outspread wings and the feet, just coming in to land, the way the feet point down makes them look like miniture tripods, lol. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

Here in the unspoiled trailer park the egrets and herons don't fly away. They roost in the palm trees and make nests. The ibis peck there way across the grass by the lake unheeding those who walk past. The spoonbills sip snails in the shallows. Even this year with the 4 foot alligator.

LOL, I can't tell you how many shots like this I have thrown away because I got only the tail end as a bird was leaving. Can really identify with the feeling. :)
