Description

Hi there!!! This is a little search-bot. His task is to search and locate persons. As you can see the search-bots are not most welcome... Now some infos about the work: The scene was done in C4D R6 and after that I have done the texturework (Bodypaint) and the lightning on a friends computer cause the radiosity and bodypaint. It was fun to scratch on this little bot... the oher figures are simple poserfigs, the helmet from the guy in front was also done with C4D. Textures made with Photoshop. No postwork. I hope ya like it! All comments are welcome! See ya! ~{o;)

Hey FAKE! Great work as usual. What does the bot do once he finds who he's looking for?

very cool lights, makes me wanna try it out :-) but I would like to see the main-texture reworked, it looks to big ... maybe you better take a procedural-shader with anisotrophic (is that right?) channel to get scratches an scratch-reflection ... a Bot like this one should be very much used after a short while (maybe cause some people throw some things like hammers, stones and so bullets? ;-) But if it should be a brandnew piece right from the search-bot-shop, it's okay - great work at all

Computarnerd, first thanX for the comment... well if the bot found someone he yells "Got YA!!!" - now count till 10 and search me... LOL. No, he will send the datas to the person who gives the order and observate the target. Erik0815Erik, also thanx for your comment. I just wanted to do some paintscratches (yes as someone throws things to the bot) and with the shader you mean this doesn`t works. Does he looks brand new? Damn if he... but look at the big bump in the middle... thats not new... hehe...

Yo Guido, nice work. Got to agree withErik, he looks brand new. Maybe you should get rid of the extreme reflections. Also, this robot doesn't look so scary to me, rather this perspective makes him look more like a clown smiling. The lens flare effects are great though. Keep up the good work.

I personally don't think he looks brand new. If you look at the paint, those are scratches and dents, not reflections. This is another classic FAKE model! Great job!

Old, New, or in-between - it really doesn't matter to me. I enjoy the pure technical achievement of the image, not to mention how I so respect anyone who has such an obvious passion for their renders. Fake my friend, this is exquisite, and puts me in mind of the little 'Search Bot' in the trial game I played with. Darn, I forget the name of it - it was supposed to guide me through the game, but got me killed more than once...lol. Another wonderful job here. You are light years ahead of me in every respect. Oh, I think the name of the game was "Ascent", but not sure.
