I had never noticed before how ducks sleep, until this one and his buddy came up behind me as I was sitting on the bank of this lake taking pictures, they were only like a foot behind me , I thought it was so cute. I must have put them at ease or more likely bored them to sleep HAHA Looks like a beautiful day here, after all the rain yesterday. Hope you all have a great day, I am driving my daughter to Chattanooga to spend the day, then after that she leaves for a week for her spring break . Yippee a week away from mom!

Wonderful duck shot, I would have preferd not so tight a crop though, so as to show the tail and neck, that is personal taste though. An excellent capture with great clarity and detailing in the feathers, good colourtones especially in the blue part of the wing feathers. Bravo!!!!!

I remember it well, but then I remember the invention of dirt, too... BTW, it would be this one and her buddy, not his. That blue spot on the wing is the best indicator there is that this is a Mallard hen. Nice crisp colorful shot. I like it.

I agree with you Jeff on the cropping I wasn't happy with it either, I tried to get fancy and add a frame which I need more practice with, and that is where I lost some of this.. thanks for ALL the comments. :)
