BIO
Started in 1981 with graphical simulation of industrial robots - part of my studies of math in Stuttgart (Germany). Then, by accident, 1984 Bavaria Film asked me to do computer animations for Enemy Mine (director Wolfgang Peterson, produced in Munich, Germany). That was my start into the more creative part of the business. From there on til 1991 i worked as an animation designer with several sorts of software (BTS FGS 4000, TDI, ...). We did commercial animations but tought students (from the Stuttgart Academy of Art) as well (half-half). After that i had the opportunity to make a move into event and "classical" design business. And there I still am - doing mostly print design in a little agency I am running with some friends. I kept always an eye on the 3D business, but only with the appearance of Vue d'Esprit on Mac i found a sort of way back into 3D graphics. This software for me is the ideal combination of easy-to-use and quality results so it was great fun to work with from the first moment on. Let's see where this all will drift to - who knows. this is good work walther ..fires are not easy to do realistically..always people seem to put flames too bright..i think you nailed the vibrancy and depth of colours to the flame..outstanding work..and interesting..still cant find the damned raven though...:)

You've really done an exceptional work of creating the more subtle flames. It's good to see you're working on all the varied fire elements. Bravo!

Fine work ! You're getting closer and closer to it, QUITE close !!! for this Schmiedefeuer. You made a long way since your first fire tests about two years ago, toutes mes félicitations ! Fire textures seem to behave like music, in some way : The hardest challenge for the musician is, to play it piano, con espression, dolce... Pardon me, Wabe, I know that I'm hard critics with other's work. I fear that it's a "déformation professionnelle", my job is to nail down what doesn't work out rightly... :-( And to incite ways, to guide, to make nicer outcome, constructively. As I lived for years with wood fire as sole source of energy, well... I never rate renderings, prefer leaving that up to others, but here, I couldn't avoid to put in "5", same as for your late "bushfire" ! Btw, Why put that into "wip", work in progress ? Timid ? That was mighty beautiful - compare what can be compared ! Looked damn real, that one, reminded me lively of Schloss Filseck burning, some forty years ago. Keep on going ! I wait for your "fire objects"... :-)
