Description

On the way up Ben Vane yesterday morning, looking toward Ben Ime (in cloud). It was actually not a bad day, and this angry looking weather never really amounted to much. Argyll, Scotland. Thanks for viewing and enjoy your Sunday

A fitting capture, Anthony, as we reach the last, but most onerous lap of Lent, in the run up to Easter. May you and your family have an awesome Easter, and experience His peace. Take care, my friend. I think that sometimes the weather forecasters, especially on the BBC, are so afraid of understating the danger from the weather that they now overemphasise it now, with their 'Weather Warnings'. There may still be a wee bit of London-based short sightedness, but perhaps they do now actually realise that 'weather' effects 'North Britain' as well as the inner M25! I suppose we get used to it up here, not trusting the good forecasts, and silently celebrating whenever the bad forecasts turn out to be completely wrong. There are still trees falling down, around Glasgow, that were weakened in last year's gales, far less this years. In Motherwell, one nearly took out my mother's neighbour's terraced home. In Wishaw, one just about demolished a car bay near my mother-in-law's. This is the second time in two years that that specific car bay has been hit. Surely when trees, especially on council land, are 2 or 3 times the height of surrounding houses, they should be 'topped'. or at least checked after high winds. The attitude seems to be that that is what home insurance is for. A bit like Glasgow City Council's idea on potholes ( shell craters !! ) - they are there to check if you have car insurance.. ;o) Warm regards, John.

It is such a pleasing scene, but also harsh. It seems you captured the cold and inhospitality very well.
