Description

This is a character i designed, built and rendered with lightwave. He is for a short film im making for college. The character is very sad just now cause he hasnt got a name or a storyline yet so id be happy to hear any suggestions for either of them :) He lives on a very flat, empty planet detailed with a many cubiod shapes on the horizon. He has a little friend (still to be built) and a cute alen doggy to keep him company(im posting the dog next) P.s I am animating himin 3d studio max cause i still cant do character set up in lightwave :( Hope you like the wee guy :)

KISS modeling is the best (keep it simple stupid!) I think that his name should be Mort, or Tom. Storylines can be anything, but those creepy guys in Princess mononoke, which shake their heads, and look creepy as hell!

I think the orange transparancy is called sub-surface scattering, (the light bouncing around inside the object) such as candles, the candle glows at the top when its litt. The forest spirits in Mononoke are so cute! :) i love them! He should be the little kids favourit hero! he comes to them at night being cute and filling the kids' heads with happy dreams! If the kids are nasty, he turns into a evil monster with claws and fangs and stuff....just kidding!! geez dont be so tense!
