AMOR DE ABUELO
El amor del abuelo permite dar rienda suelta a los sentimientos. Siempre está dispuesto a oír los nietos. Toleran lo que no permitieron nunca a sus propios hijos. Luego de años de ser padres, los abuelos pueden descansar y aportar más amor y valores que rígidas normas.
Enseñan las leyendas, los juegos que ellos jugaban cuando fueron niños.
Cuentan historias del pasado, les brindan una nueva dimensión, que les permite dar rienda suelta a su fantasía. ¿Quién no tiene en su memoria la imagen tierna del abuelo que con todo su amor le contaba sus historias? Los abuelos disponen de tiempo suficiente para "malcriar" sus nietos y ello es logrado solamente por el gran amor que les profesan.

LOVE OF GRANDFATHER

The love of the grandfather permits to give free rein to the feelings. Always it is willing to hear the grandchildren. They tolerate what they never allowed to your own children.
After years to be parents, the grandfathers can rest and to contribute more love and values that stiff norms. They teach the legends, the play that played when children were.
They count histories of the past; they offer a new dimension that permits to give free rein to their fantasy. Who does not have in its memory the tender image of the grandfather that with all its love counted him its histories? The grandfathers have sufficient time for "to spoil" their grandchildren and it is achieved only by the great love that professes them.

As an grandfather, I agree with your sentiments. I like being a Grandfather a lot more than I liked being a parent. (Not that I minded being a parent.) Como abuelo, convengo con sus sentimientos. Tengo gusto de ser un abuelo mucho más que tuve gusto de ser un padre. (no ese importaba el ser un padre.)
