Description
I was in Port Sa'eed for two days and had myself a few shots...
This shot is taken from the ferry in the Suez Canal... the ferry takes people from one bank of the canal to the other... one bank is in Port-Sa'eed, and the other in Port-Fouad. Port Sa'eed is in Africa, Port Fouad in Asia... In this shot we were going back from Port Fouad... leaving Asia behind :D
It was a very nice feeling that by taking this ferry, I was crossing the border between two continents... it's like these few meters are what it takes to be continents apart from someone...lol
Hope you like it...
Love,
Nahla

So this is the Suez Canal...It could be anywhere from the looks of it but knowing it joins 2 important continents makes it special, as does your capture of it. You certainly do travel to some interesting places.

it has always been strange to me calling Jordan or Saudi as part of the Asian continent. very excellent capture and must be interesting to travel there

Nice, clearer shot, Nahla. Thanks for sharing this shot. Crossing from continent to continent is in the fashion I think. As part of a recent televised charity event on BBC, two man swum from Gibralter in Europe across the straits to Morocco. They were raising charity for SPORT RELIEF. Nearer to home, there is a short bridge connecting the Scottish mainland, to the Isle of Seil, near Oban. This wee bridge is called, locally, 'The Bridge across the Atlantic'.. ;o) That is what I really call crossing from one continent to another.. I have put the link below, if you wish to have a look. www.hebridean-island-images.com/Lorn/pages/'Bridge%20over%20the%20Atlantic',%20Clachan,%20Isle%20of%20Seil%20(LORN%200012).html Regards, John.
