Hello Renderosity Community!
Â
I call myself Billcody, but my real name is Wolfgang. I am living in Germany, in Berlin, and I was born here in 1950. We are a tribe of two here: My older brother Sig, you know him under his nick "junge1" and I am "junge2" in the row....
Â
My real profession is Geologist; I am specialized in contaminated soils, pollution, stuff like this, especially in old industrial areals. Berlin has a lot of these.... My hobbies are music, photography, railroading and history and here especially the old industrial history of Berlin, the old manufactories with their brickstone architecture of our ancestors. I like to stroll through the urban jungle to search old historical buildings. My cardiologist is happy.......
I' m a photographer since 2006, when my beloved wife Harriet bought me my small Nikon 8700 bridge camera. This opened a brand new world. Yes, I photographed before for many years but the results were .....hmmm... not good.... I was not an aficionado, this began with the digital area. I use the Nik8700 till today......
Am I an Artist? I' m not sure, YOU decide with your votings and comments. I call myself a "Hobby Photographer" - and I like it! I try to do things well.

This is nostalgia of an European view..and I do like this. Years ago we had a few of the Citroen cars around, folks boasting of the most advanced car on the road. This was perhaps 30 or so years ago and the cars were more modern than the ones shown. Of course, the VW bug, the old one with split windows has been here a long time and of the few still seen, the owners treasure the vehicles. Thanks for this look.

Cool cars and photo...

This beautiful volkswagen looks like it just came of the assembly line, truly a most robust of cars made. The rear aircooled engine a true work horse, they just seem to go on and on. It looks like the owner of this one treats it as a lover. I can see Janis is delighted with this wonderful dedication. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

Wonderful photograph, I don't know why I don't get to your gallery more often. The bug to the right is in tip top shape for a classic. It seems that everyone I know has owned one at some point or other. Great dedi to Janiss as well.

@JeffG7BRJ and TwoPynts: In Germany we have no sort of "hot rod" - shows as in America, and the german car authorities set very strictly rules what is allowed and what is forbidden. But we have a lot of collectors clubs here for a lot of cars and germans love it to be organized in those clubs. There are collector´s clubs for Volkswagen - beetles, french cars like Citroen and Renault R4, VW- Busses or the eastern german "Trabant", these small little cars they had to wait 18 years till they get them. The rich people are engaged in Mercedes - Benz SL- clubs, some people collect traktors, even old tanks from the DDR or the soviets. These here are organized in a Citroen Club, and some of them are from the Netherlands, some french and a lot of different german cities.

never mind "hot rods" these are classic "Euro rides" that warm the heart of any car buffs!
