This really show the intricate work involved in the construction. Its not just a pretty face but also a well-built one. I would have needed someone to keep me from falling backwards to take this sort of shot. Excellent, my dear, excellent.

I find this place very depressing! I have been to lots of wonderful places in Paris, but have always avoided this! Super shot though!

Alors çà! C'est vraiment superbe! Une telle photo serait digne d'être offerte à des grandes sociétés de Promotion de la Ville de Paris. Vraiment fantastique! Moi aussi, pour te punir, je la prends. Elle est trop belle!

We were there at the Eiffel in June, 2001. We enjoyed our trip very much. I have to admit that we didn't think to look "up" as this POV. So after all of this time, I finally get to see "under its skirt"!! Fabulous idea, and so different.

here in the states, we tend to view the Eiffel Tower as a mythic Gate, but it was, of course, a great statement of muscular engineering, very modern for its time and very bold. I only know from close-ups how geometric it is, how it's as much about sinew & line as about grace and all that. (Andre Kertesz did a beautiful shot of it, in strange shadows, to show how many personalities it has.) Yours is a muscular blast up the center, with a touch of your luminous light, along with a stark white sky---as if the tower were the only thing in the universe---revealing tendons, girders, shadows and caverns. You and architecture are good friends. You get along very, very well...
