Description
I started to wonder what sports hero's an autograph hunter would want to collect in Roman times. So this is the story for the image.
Craxus Netaticus was a captured slave who was taken to Rome to fight as a Gladiator in the arena. After 5 years undefeated Craxus became hero worshipped by all Romans and was given citizanship of Rome and promoted to Commander of the Preturian Guard. The image is my idea of what his signed promo photo might have looked like for handing out amongst his adoring throng of fans.
It just goes to show that equal opportunity was alive and kicking even in Roman times!.
Thank for taking the time to view my work. Your interest is greatly appreciated. Stay safe, be happy & God Bless!.

Very nice image...on another note, I've read that gladiators actually did endorsements during their time, a bit like athletes do today....
