Description

"Oh, what a tangled web trees weave..." ~~~~~

Pulling some relics off the old hard drive, bear with me. Some gnarled, weather-worn trees just off the East coast of Florida. Nothing amazing here, just wanted to share. Best viewed at full size for maximum detail. UPDATE: Per Egmont's suggestion, I created a B&W version, then decided to tone it. You can view it by clicking HERE. I rather like the color one better because it retains depth and distinction while I feel the B&W gets a bit lost in all the little details. What are your thoughts? -----

I love wind shaped branches - I used to do quite a lot of bonsai work and copied these formations with wire, and a lot of patience. I just dont seem to have the time ant more! Great capture Kort - the colours are excellent!!

Greetings Kort, Your title captures the way I feel today, however it also describes the image to a 'T'. I would like to suggest converting the photograph to a B/W or even a duo-tone since it has a beautiful tonal range and a lot of interesting textures. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Love this stuff! Oh yeah, evil, wicked trees, right out of the LORD OF THE RINGS/HARRY POTTER/THE WIZARD OF OZA...and right up my alley -- not the trees...the subject matter.

"You are in a twisty maze of little trees" or something like that. LOL I agree with you, Kort; I like the color one better. Despite Egmont's support and encouragement, I still like color better than B&W.
