Another shot from last weekend's trip to the zoo. This is an Amur Leopard, Panthera pardus orientalis. They are CRITICALLY ENDANGERED - less than 40 in the wild, due to habitat destruction and human encroachment. For more information visit www.tigrisfoundation.nl

OK....I know I commented on this. What happened to it????? This is a really beautiful picture. He looks so regal. I can't believe how close you are without it bothering him. I suppose he is used to people. But I did not know there were so few of them. That is really a shame. I like the way you add comments like that to your images.
