Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great stuff!

If you look hard enough the shape resembles a dogs nose and face but my eyes followed the curve in the sand and now it looks like the head of a bird. Maybe I need more sleep lol.

I would have been tempted to hide that stone somewhere, to secret it about my person to take home and polish it. It looks like a very nice bit of rock Marilyn, the texture and the colour, I would have to break it up though to go into my machine. Sometimes I find a stone that I just cannot break up, because it looks so nice, so they get to sit in Paulines rock garden. Maybe this would have found its way there. Excellent capture and great pov. I can also see what Alan says about the birds head, a long sweeping neck leading to the head. Bravo!!!!!

that how I think too. Leave it up to nature to set things up and you find them and take a photo of it. cool shot too

My, what weird textures you have, Mister Rock. Now that's a real Rock of Ages! I can't add much to what's been said above, except for it being a fine POV to go along with those colorful mottled textures.

I saw the dog first, but then read what Alan said, and then I saw the bird. Very cool! More bang for your buck. :)
