Original form of Egyptian myth name BASTET a cat-headed goddess. Originally, she was a sun goddess depicted as a lion, who defended the pharaoh and, consequently, the chief god, Later, the Greeks changed her to a moon goddess. Thanks for your comments.

... and as far as I know the moongoddess had a cowhead and only wore silver, not gold :O) Wonderfully done- especially the bare head is very egyptian.

I like the way she mirrors the face on the pillar behind her! Some hair or headdress would be nice, but this is an excellent image!
