Description

Under Rakewood Viaduct I am so thrilled that my "ST.JOHN'S CHAPEL" upload 3 days back has exceeded my personal best of comments made and favourites. So I'll take this opportunity to thank everyone who likes to comment and a big thanks also to those who chose this as a favourite. I feel honoured, I can't tell you what a boost it gives me to my confidence, really! And thanks to Carl(Rockstrider) for mailing details of Dodge & Burn. Its all a learning process! A good Easter weekend to you all.

That dirt track at the other side was where I used to drive up every night to start work. I worked both nights and days whilst on this project, on days you did 7 twelve hour days and on nights you did 6 twelve hour nights. On the odd occasion if some one was on holiday or sick you got offered a ghoster, that is 36 hours non stop. I only used to do these when I was on the night shift because I could do two in the week and get a rest on Sunday. Hard work for hard pay! there's nothing like it. Excellent capture Alan, people say there is a body of a workman in one of the columns, that he fell into the concrete as it was being poured. Not true at all, a couple of deaths did happen on the Motorway contract, but the bodies were recovered. Is that Sylvia down there waiting for you? She doesn't half suffer for your pictures. lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

It is nice to see that others are aware of the importance of how a figure lends to the scale of this excellent and dramatic photograph. So very well done!
