I'm opposed to girl alter servers. I have to have something in the church I'm against to test my faith and I chose that one. I do meet 11 year olds from time to time that are ready for first communion (Eucharist) but this would be younger girls of 8 or so. My own grandaughter is 2 so the issue need not be broached with her mother yet.
