Description

Dotting the sky above the ancient planet of Trop - E - Kana are the many spaceyards of the Vay-Gas constructor fleets. Providing ships to the war effort is costly and time consuming, so the ship designers came up with a simple model that they could manufacture as a stop gap measure. The fabled D-Noe Class Destroyer was the most numerous ship design on either side in the war. Simple to build, simple to operate, needing a crew of only 45. The D-Noe would travel in groups of 5 or more, known as "Rat Pakz", mostly on escort, convoy, and patrol duties. Although not as heavily armed as their adversaries in the Reen-Oh Fleets, they gave as good as they got. Not designed for long term use, as was said as a stop gap, none the less, D-Noes served with distinction well past their service life, Finally being retired at the end of the conflict. It was not unheard of for these ships to be generational, with grandsons fighting in the same ships that their grandfathers shipped out in. So popular was the tradition of generational crews that at war's end, some families bought the very ships that so many of their ancestors fought aboard. The Lounge Wars, Chapter 3 : Vay-Gas, The Build Up Settling back into the Lounge, at my favourite table, waiting for my friends to show up...."Waitress... a single malt... neat... if you please" comments welcome, please enjoy!
