Description

These little flowers are the first ones to pop up in my yard. Only about five or six of them. A couple are pink and the rest red. I don't know what they are. They are about 3inch high and the flower is the size of a nickle. Every year I'm out on my belly taking picture of them lol. I guess the previous owner must have planted them, but they are in a strange place in the yard. Or maybe they are just wild. But I love to take macros of them. Thanks for dropping by..Take care:0)bonita

Wonderful shot and I can even feel the joy as you see these first signs of spring in your yard. With me, it's the few wild grape hyacinth that come up every year. Sweet shot and thanks for sharing. :)

Oh I'm so jealous! All I have in my garden the dead things left from last year. I always leave the seed heads of flowers for the birds to have over winter, and to add some winter interest. This is such an exquisite little flower, and even better because it is the first!
