I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

Wonderful shot and I can even feel the joy as you see these first signs of spring in your yard. With me, it's the few wild grape hyacinth that come up every year. Sweet shot and thanks for sharing. :)

Oh I'm so jealous! All I have in my garden the dead things left from last year. I always leave the seed heads of flowers for the birds to have over winter, and to add some winter interest. This is such an exquisite little flower, and even better because it is the first!
