Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great image of your good friend, what a happy guy he looks while getting into all that hard work. Nice postwork, gives an impression of a giant sun!

I love tree men! Super postwork.

What a tree-men-dous capture Marilyn, he looks as happy as a pig in s**t, he must love hard work, I used to. I would have loved a job as a tree surgeon, I don't know why I never went for it, I guess driving was my niche in life. I did have a good head for hights though. I'm not too sure about your postwork in this one though. I would have loved to see that red shirt against a nice blue sky, if you didn't have a blue sky to start with though, I guess it's not a bad thing. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

Too high for me - like Mad-Mike I'm horribly acrophobic - though I wasn't until my mid-40s! Great shot. Mike

He looks like he's enjoying himself up there, just chopping away at all those branches.

Good heavens, Leonard in the loft! Excellent POV in this fine shot of your friend, laughing at fate, amidst the limbs and branches of your tree, Marilyn! I like the deep contrast of the lighting and textural effects.
