Description
And for the last of today's offerings, I finally got my trumpet vine (Campsis radicans) to bloom. At first I wasn't going to put the pic up because I don't like that powder stuff, it looks messy. But I figure it's part of the bloom, so might as well. Enjoy!

I think the powder is part of the beauty of the blossom! Considered an invasive and troublesome plant by some, I have always found them to be lovely and this is a beautiful closeup image!

Great capture, Lee. I have one of these going over my gate in the front yard. Put 3 pieces of it in 4 years ago and it really is lush with flowers in the Summer. HOWEVER, and that's a big however, no one told me that the damn runners begin coming up all over the lawn like running bamboo does after a few years. Oh well, I just keep cutting them off with the mower.
