Description

I've been pondering the mysteries of ghosts lately. Of course, the most important question is, "what is a ghost?" Stories of ghosts exist in every culture, even those cultures that could not possibly have been in contact. Is a ghost a mass hallucination, fueled by wishful thinking, seen by the gullible, and mistakenly considered real by them? Or is a ghost an actual cloud of conscious 'astral' material, which once inhabited the body of a living human being, and now can be seen only by those who can see astral stuff? ... My own ideas are even more bizarre. I speculate that a ghost might be an extra term in a mathematical formula. One of the surprises of my life came when I decided to study the sub-atomic world and found that I was studying mathematics instead of little balls that bounce off each other like marbles. Perhaps nothing exists beyond the world-image in our minds but the formula of physics, which we lack the mental powers to fully comprehend. Perhaps a ghost is nothing but a tiny leftover expression in the world formula, which has not yet completely canceled out. --Jim Muth

Excellent. Fractals and ghosts -- great combo -- they pair well together. And nice chin.

Wow that's really cool! My take on ghosts is that they are people who have not fully moved on, their essence that is of course, they are stuck in between dimensions, some people can sense them others see them, this explanation makes sense to me. And I think that as with everything else in general as far as the nature of reality is concerned if one believes in them then they exist and if one doesn't they don't either, that's why we can always prove what we believe as our thoughts, on a very deep level, shape our reality. So, if you think it exists you're right and if you think it doesn't you're right, it's all an illusion anyways, take your pick :)

I really love this concept. Working with fractals is always fun, but incorporating this supernatural character makes this truly awesome. You should try more with this style. It would make a great series.

Something which is not cancelled out or something which is not certain as a result. As far as I remember calculus for some equations you might have an uncertain answer, something which is here but still not defined on full - quite alike a ghost. Thank you for the picture and for the thought.

A Superb works and composition, Very Creative, Dimensional levels would answer your question though, So they wouldn't appear as you and i would, on this one, But none the less they are as physical as you and i, There are no ghosts, just different plains and levels of physical consciousness, And in our limited consciousness would appear as such, And death being the greatest fiction...

This is beautiful! I like the concept of the piece Your ideas on GHosts are most intriguing. I have thought about the subject some, but never quite this way. your conclusion is rather convincing - as far as you can at all make up your mind about a subject as elusive as ghosts.
