Description

Been playing with A_'s Lydia (can be found over at RuntimeDNA) ... I really like her unique features and the texture is quite beautiful - although I'm sorry to say that I went on a postwork frenzy and the texture doesn't really show up on this ... but look at those luscious lips! :) Anyway - take care and do not step on Christmas Lights that should of have been taken down months ago :)

Lovely high key image - excellent postwork in that score. While the image may not showcase the fine texture, it still lends a sense of the character's unique features. He expression is neutral... but in an almost come-hither way. The transition of lip stick to skin is very nicely treated - especially at he mouth corners - and the lip sheen is uncannily realistic. It's the details that count! You sort of have two framing elements here - the hair, which is doing a wonderfully play dance around her face - and the drop shadow border which appealing is set asymmetric. I'm a big fan of asymmetry :) The only thing that feels a little off is that I keep expecting to see a little shadow of the lower eyelids - just a LITTLE one - on the eye white. Not sure if it should be there by my eye keeps wanting to see it?..... Anyway, fine portrait.

I just said out loud "Man, now that is cool." She looks terrific, and this is the kind of playing-with-the-borders framing I really love.
