Description

Captured this morning while doing a downtown photosession with my daughter Lena. Rostov has always been a merchant city and before the 1917 Revolution merchants constructed a lot of amazing houses. Unfortunately, the well-known events ruined most of them. Luckily, some of them seem to be time-proof.There will be more images to the subject later on. Happy Easter everyone! We celebrate the Orthodox Easter on April 27th this year.

fantastic grating! love the detailed image - wonder why they did not put that 110 somewhere else and why someone tried to improve it with concrete iron :-)

It is good that some of these ornate gratings have survived and even more so that you can capture this wonderful craftwork. Excellent Nikolay!

It looks grown, not built. Your tonal balance is just perfect. It describes everything so clearly.

This is an intriguing glimpse into life there! I love the contrast of the grating itself, in such wonderful detail, and the somewhat mysterious hint of a sign behind the closed gate. This is definitely one of my favorite works.
