Description

Wanted to work on something spring like since so many of trees and flowers are in bloom here in Florida. The idea was to have Persephone the greek goddess of spring making her return into the upper world. the brown water color splashes representing earth with the plants growing out of the soil. Kept the colors clean and clear as much as possible. Used deviney brushes Ron’s watercolor and flourishes quite I bit. As I’ve said before I love those things. only stock image was the woman from a cd that I have bought.

Love this. This has an updated art nouveau feel to it. It reminds me of a modern version of the artist Mucha. Beautiful image! Happy spring!

Thanks for the note reddog! I had to come have a look and this is really gorgeously done. I love the hair whisps mixed in with the flourishes and especially the butterflies. Very "modern Mucha" effect you have going on here...bravo!
