My name is Tony Shaw and I have been working for a UK Bank since I left school in 1983. I have spent from 1990 working in their IT department as a software developer. With the threat of redundancy hanging over me next year, and having written a web-site for my Dad, I decided to train myself up in web and graphic design and as a result found Renderosity.
The graphic tools I'm using in my spare time are Adobe Photoshop, Bryce, Apophysis, Terragen and Vue ... I don't have any particular favourite as they all have their good and bad points.
I have not posted some of my very early works as they are quite basic and would not look out of place in comics, however I hope you will take time to browse through my gallery so far and any comments, whether good or bad will be greatly received as they will keep me motivated and hopefully improve my designs.
Happy rendering.

I think your first attempts at 'playing with fire,' so to speak, turned out well, Tony. One gets the feeling of an upward movement from the fire resulting in the ball of flames. You're one ahead of me as I haven't explored this as of yet.

Nice fire job, Tony! I hope that's not your lighthouse still going up in the distance... That Debbie is a Hell-raiser! I like the way you've balanced the mayhem with the calm greenery on the left.

Pretty good for just starting with fire Tony. It is very difficult for some of us to work with..I get a little frustrated with it. :D

Volumetric fire is a tough one to crack, and render times is very tedious, I think. You've done an amazing job in creating such an enormous ball of hot eye candy Tony. Muis

Excellent scene Tony and I am very simpatico about Bryce fire as I have found it impossible to manage with any degree of realism..you have really done a wonderful job of it here. Excellent work!
