Description

The battle is over. Wounds are tended and losses among the ranks are accounted for on both sides of the banner. Sunset is falling and all is turned to silence and reflection, as weary warriors recount what has been sacrificed on this day. Upon a somber knoll, a solemn knight removes his helm, plants the blade of a fallen friend in memorial, and whispers a final farewell to the brother in arms whom he will never fight beside again. I really like the emotion you have captured in this scene. Good job on the armour texture too, nice reflective metal quality. Well done!

A truly outstanding piece of work. One of the hardest and most painful things in the world is to find out a comrade did not survive the battle. The guilt and sadness is overwelming at times, but you must go on. If you do not then the number of casulties is multiplied. It is safe to say that no matter your injury everyone is walking wounded after a battle. Your chose to light the sword was a great touch, I don't have the words to tell you what that says or the way it makes me feel, but it really hits hard. This is a great didication to service members around the world, and I thank you for it.

Stunning work and a wonderful dedication to all who have fallen, no matter the battle, no matter the war, all feel the loss in one form or another.
