this morning we said goodbye to Dusty, the sweetest kitty I've ever known.
she slipped away between 3:30 and 4:00 AM, at home, where she was comfortable.
I will hurt for a very long time.
Easter vacation 1991 - Easter vacation 2008.

I'm so sorry - just saw this now. I know what you are feeling, our little friends leave such deep pawprints in the heart. I hope that deep sorrow will turn into loving memories in a not so far away future. Hugs...

I'm so sorry to read about such a wonderful looking animal -- to have shared her life had to be a great joy indeed. I have a few cats living with me (8) the oldest is 20 this year and I also have one named Dusty I'll see if I can't post up a pic of him hopefull warming you heart just a bit.

Barb I am so sorry for your loss of such a gentle and sweet soul, she looks so beautiful. She will be waiting at Rainbow Bridge with all the beloved pets we have all said goodbye to. My heart goes out to you my friend, and please forgive my late comment. hugs Jane xx

Sorry to hear of this loss. She is an absolutely gorgeous cat! We recently lost our two-year-old Linus, who was stolen off our property last November. We are still searching for him.

I share your feelings about this loss. Dusty was beautiful and special, even if she being a girl, i never saw a beard like that on a cat. She looks unique. Im glad she lived to be 17 years old. But a friendship and the bonds between a animal and it's owner.. get very very strong after 17 years. It almost feel's like a part of one self is missing when they are gone. It takes a long time to get over that kind of loss. I can't help commenting on this, since i am a animal lover and have lost many wonderful animals through the passed. Im on my number 3 german shepherd dog today. I had german shepherds through 28 years. I cried like a baby when my first 2 dogs died. My first 2 dogs lived to be 10 and 13 years old. The one i have now, is a 5 yo. longhaired german shepherd She is my best friend. There is a picture of it on my Renderosity homepage.
