Description

Recommended listening: "Looks Just Like The Sun" by Broken Social Scene With the days getting warmer and as the glacier that covers my front yard recedes a little bit each day I thought I'd render something sunny, playful and a little laid back. This was also a chance to play with the great grass prop by brainstew available over at ShareCG. Rendered in Poser, there's no "background image" here, every blade of grass is made of polygons, and it nearly killed my system to render it with all the grass, the image based lighting and the depth of field. Admittedly, there's not much peril here, though I suppose if her top flew apart from all that stress she might be in a spot of trouble ;) I rendered 3 different facial expressions, and this one came out looking the most playful, though it looks like she might be making fart noises with her mouth. C'est la vie... Here I used the "Alyce" texture that's available over at Daz, I'm quite pleased with it. The face is by me ( I call her Joycelyn), and the body is shaped with Wyrmmaster's Sexy Slayer System. The lighting here is based on the IBL light set of DM's Brenin patio (Daz3d). Well she might be in peril if she has hay fever... but I would probably trade my own glacier here for hay fever. I think it will probably be melted by June :) She's really cute :) Excellent scene and POV.

Hey, there's also sunburns, fire ants and poisonous mushrooms to contend with, not just allergies. And don't forget the sneezing butterflies that may come wandering by to ruin the day!

Well, the IBL made an excellent job with the light! And I totally admire the grass, Pete! That was really worth the nigh-system-crash ;o) And peril or not, Elves need a break to think about their next adventure, like running through cold rain from some even colder rascals... ;o) Take care, hon'! ~Sassy~

That is some pretty crazy awesome grass! Not a big fan of the expression, and the DoF I don't think is working so well on the foreground. It looks to me like her skin texture on her legs is just low res vs. just being out of focus. This image is really making me want to go in and figure out how to make those SS mags work on V4 myself.

Damn' cheeky look and those shrooms are very perilous, if eaten ! Neat Summer scene and subtle use of DOF, plus kool morphing ! ~Cheers~

The realism of this scene is remarkable- the grass really gives it a lot of texture and a convincing setting- The lighting also contributes both to the realism and gives a proper daylight exposure as if the sky were filled with diffuse clouds- very, very nice!
