Description

* Goddess of higness and honor, goddess of love and beauty. Goddess of happiness, Goddess Beautiful in Tears, Leader of all Valkyries, Sister of Freyr, Bringer of magic, prophecy and wealth, daughter of Njoror, a born Vanir, falcon winged, leader of the Wild Hunt. Frigg is the highest goddess of the Aesir, while Freya is the highest goddess of the Vanir. Many arguments have been made both for and against the idea that Frigg and Freya are really the same goddess, avatars of one another. There are many similarities between the two: both had flying cloaks of falcon feathers and engaged in shape-shifting, Frigg was married to Odin while Freyja was married to Oder, both had special necklaces, both had a personification of the Earth as a parent, both were called upon for assistance in childbirth... There are many stories circling around the fairest of all goddesses, too many to list them here : She resides in Folkvangr, receiving half of the dead warriors , along with all the woman, When she cries her tears turn into gold. She is also a war goddess and rides a chariot drawn by a pair of large forest-cats. Freya owns a cloak of falcon feathers, which can give her the ability to change into the guise of any birds, and to fly between worlds. It is called Valshamr, the falcon skin. Freya was priestess of the sacrifices, and first taught the Aesir the magic art and the use of spells, as it was in use and fashion among the Vanir.. In germany the title Mrs. is called Frau, that goes back to Freya..and our Friday is also named after her! Freya one day Falcon-wings took, and through space hied away. Lovely character, hair, costume, posing. Love the bird flying and the surrounding magic. Thanks for sharing this mythology. Wonderful atmosphere. Love the Northern Lights effect in the background. Beautiful work.
