Stellar concept of boneman mounted on his magnificent steed, and riding alongside some kind of herring-bone spirit horse. Excellent contrast and lighting effects in this creation, Jock! And, believe it or not, Vaughn Monroe and also The Sons of the Pioneers were singing "Ghost Riders in the Sky" while Johnny Cash was still in diapers. Someone else also recorded the song but I can't recall who it was at the moment.

A sound of hooves as the sky rattles. The light is momentary on the cloud faces. The tops of hills have grazing animals backlit. The rider checks his six gun to see if he is ready for the sudden crash and bolt of lightning. Knocked from his horse he gets up to see the figure before him. A voice is saying, "Paul, Paul why do you persecute me?"

A old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day. Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way. When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw ploughing through the ragged skys and up the cloudy draws. Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel. Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel. A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky. For he saw the riders comming hard and he heard their mournful cry. Yippee-I-Oh... Yippee-I-Ay... Ghost riders in the sky. Their faces gone, theirs eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat. He's riding hard to catch that herd but he aint caught them yet. Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky. All horses snorting fire as they ride on hear their cry. As the riders look on by him he heard one call his name. "If you want to save your soul from hell riding on our range, then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride. Trying to catch the Devil's herd across these endless skies. Yippee-I-Oh... Yippee-I-Ay... Ghost riders in the sky (It was written on June 5, 1948 by Stan Jones. More than fifty different artists have recorded versions of this classic. including Bing Crosby and Peggy lee) bracketed information curtesy of Wikipedia. Fantastic image Jocko, nice to see those Ole' Bonemen are still around. Bravo!!!!!

Awesome work, Jocko! I'm not sure if Pink Floyd had that striped horse, but it sure looks like something from their album covers. The whole thing does. There are others, but here's the Johhny Cash version: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7558736776926196936
