cool pic :) may i give you a small critque? well its how I would see it, anyhoo :) No wall, I think it would look better with no shadow just ending of the light. Also (if i may), try and experience with the distence light/face, I think it would look better with abit less of white glair on the skin :) but it is still cool

I see where woodcarver is coming from, but i like the wall thing... however the wide crop doesnt give much impact and i know you did it to get the shadow on the wall... so suggestion here is to move the candle slightly away from the face and move closer to the wall. That would give you a smaller shadow allowing for a tighter crop and imo more impact. Also it seems a bit blurry... bump the ISO if you are having exposure problems, with a BW it doesnt make too much difference and noise actually adds to the shot i think :) As for non-critical... very nice atmosphere created and a good use of black and white :)
