Description

An old experiment with Terragen 2 technology preview. The cold desert reminded me of Canada - I juxtaposed fossil-hunting trips in the badlands of Alberta, early winter in pristine Labrador and something slightly magical and unique to this particular mathematical construct. I tried to capture the scale, the light on the clear days following a snow storm, and the undisturbed snow before it gets chopped up by footprints and skidoo trails. Built, posed, lit and rendered in Terragen, no post work. Thanks for viewing and for your comments, always much appreciated. Craig

When I saw this render on your homepage, I instantly knew it was Terragen. What a fantastic view you have given to us with the bright sky and crisp, white snow. Perhaps a bit more 'bump' to some of the terrain surfaces would add more detail, but I'm enjoying your creation just as you have envisioned it, nonetheless.

Very interesting work. Unusual to see snow on this type of rock formation or should I say in this type of environment. I'm sure it happens, just looks unexpected. Makes for an excellent image!
