Description
While at the zoo, and being a good girl, simply taking pictures of their activities, I see out of the corner of my eye, something drop down into the monkey 'pen'. They don't miss a thing. One rushed over and grabbed it, opened it and gave a look up at us as if to thank us. He opened it up, and popped it in his mouth like he did it all the time...and ran off, when the others came rushing over. I scolded my husband for dropping stuff in there; we could get in trouble. He denied it --- (now I know where the kids get that from lol) and I said I knew better. But then something funnier than heck happened; a much smaller monkey went up to the one with the goodie in his mouth and wanted it so bad, that he tried hard to PRY his lips open to get at it !! The older monkey was so tolerant, thank goodness, but I managed to get a few shots of the series; I had to post it.
Finally I asked what it was .... he said "A cough drop" :-/
Good grief ... and all he says is he shouldn't be coughing for a while. lol
Hope this brings you smiles -- I smile as I type this, as it really was kinda funny - even though cough drops weren't made for monkeys.

I'm hoping to get something like this on my trip to the Zoo, sometime in late April. Excellent collage Shari, I love it when the monkeys interact with the visitors and put on displays like this. I'm sure it was dropped accidently as your husband was getting one out for himself.lol. Just think though, if he hadn't dropped it! Superb work and a great narrative. Bravo!!!!!
