Thanks for the coments so far. This picture was taken a few years back with a snap shot digital camera. I would love to go back with my Nikon D80 and improve on the focus. The good thing about glacier is that the flowers bloom late into summer and if you do not mind long hard hikes you will be rewarded with some of the most beautiful scenery.

Nie POV and composition, Andrew. I like the thicket of lupins, grass, weeds and buttercups(?), with thawing glaciers in the background. I must try modelling it in VUE 6 Infinite some day. I used to have lots of lupins in my front garden, over 30 years ago, and quite enjoyed their sturdy, anarchic growth, fighting for the sunshine. They used to attract the bees to my garden. However at the end of the growing season I had to collect all the seeds, for children in my mother-in-law's primary class. Thanks for sharing this photograph, and bringing back some memories of summer. We might get another summer's day this year... ;o) Warm regards, from a cold, damp, blustery Glasgow, John.

This is marvelous and obviously a stunning photo to invoke such memories in John. I, on the other hand, have not seen such a place as this but it makes me want to fish that water and hike the meadow. Stellar shot.
