Description

While at the War Weekend at Crich Tramway Museum we(me&JeffG7BRJ) got talking, or should I say Jeff got talking to one or two of the people taking part. Alex the lady on the right of this picture was interested in taking a look at the Renderosity Photography site. Jeff took a couple of good shots of Libbie, the baby they had brought along in the pram. This one is for Alex and Tony.

Wonderful atmosphere! Are these people actors? A good mood of these war days and a good idea to take the photo in sepia colors

Great shot, takes me back to when people could look into a pram without being arrested on suspicion of some sort of evil intent. Absolutley perfect in sepia, Alan, brilliant.

Well would you believe it, as Victor would say, I have posted an image of Libbie(yes I spelled it wrong first time as well) before I looked at your upload. She was a real darling though Alan you have to admit. I was smitten by her anyhow, I could have taken her home with me, she really was a treasure. She kept blowing me kisses as well, every time I saw her I waved and she blew me kisses. Superb capture and postwork Alan. They might be visiting East Lancs Railway, when its on, they have joined the Northern Forties Group and they attend every year. Bravo!!!!!

Tell me, do those stockings really have seams or were they drawn on with eyebrow pencil as a lady often did back then? The outfits are wonderful. Excellent the way everyone but the mother is turned from view leaving mother and pram the star of the shot and yet, well woven into the action. Excellent.

Nice family scene ! I like their dress and it was a good idea to choose the b&w for this picture. It's quite a time machine :-)

A wonderful nostalgic picture Alan. I remember when people dressed like that. And I remember when womens nylons had seems. My mother always asked either my father or me if her seems were straight before we went out. I agree with billcody (my brother by the way who gave me the website) that this picture in sepia makes it look really authentic, Sig...

The display contains a lot of nostalgia and something good lost for ever. Good choice on toning.
