Description
The bluebonnet, a member of the lupine family, is the official state flower of Texas and always one of the joys of springtime.
I'm behind again, have a sick dog in the hospital, so will try to catch up on viewing and comments in the next day or two.

Ah, my dear, having just returned from Texas and seeing these beauties for myself, I can readily appreciate their beauty. Very lovely shot of this bunch.The willowy grasses behind them makes a good background. It's so marvelous the way they spring up year after year in such quantities to brighten the fields and pastures.

They are so beautiful,when I grow cultivated lupins they immediately fall prey to HUGE specialised aphid and slugs. So I'll just admire your wild ones!
