My name is Grayson Jacques,
3D digital art is one of my favorite hobbies. It's great to show people what you can do when you put your creativity forward. I believe if you have a creative mind, the best way to show it is through art. And whats better than being able to do it in 3d, on your computer. It's amazing what you can come up with.
My favorite rendering program is Bryce. It's got all the options you need to make a very detailed and highly realistic picture. It's also (once you get the hang of it) extremely easy to use. I couldn't draw if my life depended on it, so this is a really good program for me.
I do a lot of digital artwork, it's part of my daily schedule. And theres nothing like a new picture to add to your library. I usually make about 3-4 pictures each month, or more. I get my ideas for my pictures from songs and movies and even other peoples artwork. But sometimes I'll go from scratch and come out with something brilliant.
I hope you'll take a look through my gallery and see what I can come up with using Bryce.
Peace!
-Grayson

I like the water on this one and the way the sunlight is highlighting the foreground, right side terrain.

Very nice composition, but you should be very wary about using DOF in a scene like this because it has a tendency to make it look like a scale model. DOF would never happen in real life to this degree. Infinity would be easily within the bounds of the tree in the foreground and the far distance, so all would be in focus. DOF is only really useful in close subject work or mid-distance objects when using a telephoto lens. The hight of this picture suggest that it is seen through a normal, or even slightly wide-angle lens so everything would be in focus. If you particularly wanted to highlight the tree in the foreground, a good way to do it is to use mist in the background instead of blur. Hope that helps you for future work.
