My favorite story of the Israeli Mirage is of the black Mirage that flew through the fireball of it's target and was left that way after. I spent some time studying the DEFA guns on this as they were also used on the Israeli Skyhawks. A much smaller cartridge than an Oerlikon and not so much different from a BOFORS. GAU-8 had not happened yet. Bushmaster was only a budget item.
