Description

"I can see clearly now the rain has gone I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day." ~ lyrics by the Hothouse Flowers

I shot this about two weeks ago in my garden. We have some sunflowers growing and this was the first to bloom. The light was flattering and the ants were having fun. :o) Very little was done to this image, just some minor tweaks in Photoshop, resizing, and border/sig added. While this is a 700 pixel wide image, I also have a 1920 pixel wide version available by clicking HERE. It is my gift to you this Friday in hopes that it may brighten your weekend. I have it as a desktop background image at home -- feel free to do the same. Even if you don't use it as a desktop, I recommend checking it out. The size and level of detail gives it a whole new dimension. TGIF and have a great weekend! -----

Thanks for your reptilian comments on my previous upload, thumb_1645085.jpg My House I stand corrected, it is not an ibex, but a brown anole. ;'] ----- Olympus C8080wz & PhotoshopCS. (1112) My Garden, Boca Raton, FL, USA 2008 Sponsored by: ott_bot1.gifKramer Kreations ohm.gif

Amazing color and detail Kort. It was also an experience to see the ants come alive on the full size view. Congratulation on the stuff in your gallery and to see the prizes you won on dimagemaker.

You can see all the pollen in the larger photo that the ant seems to be enjoying.

All the above in this superlative macro, old buddy! Reminds me of an overhead shot of several onlookers encircling and crowding around a recently formed meteorite crater.
