I have been working with 3D digital programs for about 6 years time. My first experiences with the world of 3D digital art were Terragen and a terrain generator program called World Machine. After learning Terragen, I moved on to Bryce where my major interest in creating landscapes, SciFi and interior space renderings now lies.
Other programs which I experiment with and use are Vue7, Apophysis and Incendia. Postwork tools I usually use for enhancing the original renders are PSP Pro X, PhotoScape 3.3, Paint.Net, MGI PhotoSuite and FastStone Image Maker. Occassionally I also enjoy taking photos with my Nikon S52 Digital camera. Here at Renderosity you will find works of mine using all of these mediums.
As an artisan, I have always had a deep love and respect for architecture, especially modern and future design development. You will see that reflected in some of the 3D renderings here in my gallery.
Originally, I'm a Northeastern United States native (anthracite coal region)....half Welsh, half Bavarian in ancestry.... and live some 1,400 feet (about 475 metres) above sea level in the Appalachian mountain chain along with my Shih-Tzu, Max and my cat, London. However, I prefer the lure of the beach and ocean and especially love the Chesapeake Bay region of the East Coast. Â

When Antarctica get to look like that, in our latitutes wewould be long fried. And that chuck of ice was a big a sthe Isle of Wight. Food for thought. This landscape, freshly revealed looks set to be heated up a lot, and thats the feeling of the image- though the vegetation may get thicker if it rains from time to time? Another great terrain. Another great image.

I read the same story this week...makes you wonder if it's global warming or tectonic plate movement allowing magma to escape from the ocean floor and heat up the water.Great terrains in this one Keith,like how you stacked them into each other...lighting is good too,the atmo in your sky is very convincing!If this were the real result,I think we'd see more algae or moss like plants at first,the bigger plants would come once some sort of stronghold would be established...but then,who knows what plants lie dormant beneath that ice layer.Well done Keith,you've got us marvelling at your image and musing over it's concept!!

I read that the man who mappen the Antarctica looked at his map and say to hom self "I saw this somewheres" He went to the British Muscim and look at the old maps he saw a long time ago and saw the map there done centurys ago and it was a copy that goes way back. It did not have the ice there but showed rivers and lakes it was like a topical land. Map was done before the New World was finded. Make you wonder. Is our scence as good as they say? this is super looking. Oh ever time the world do warm up the world do better. more food and more people too lol

I too saw on the news that ice chunk broke, a very LARGE, ice chunk. By the time it looks like this, we should be long gone. Hopefully, I hate to see the beautiful Arctic unfreeze, it would be a shame. Anyway, your picture here, you've done an excellent job connecting the atmosphere with the terrain. The distant terrains almost hidden in the haze gives it a really nice depth. Another excellent composition.
