And I can attest to the authenticity of this color blue. In the summer the weather tends to depress me. When asked why, I offer that the bright blue, cloudless sky (with nothing in it but the sun) goes on and on and on, day after day, and it just drives you crazy waiting for just one single little cloud to appear and this lasts for nearly the entire summer! It gets hot and it gets boring. Great shot and I'm glad someone confirmed my description of the sky color out here. :-) That blow weed (is that milk weed?) is really nice with the trailing seeds.

Mrs L, I can completely sympathise with you on "summer depression", having the equivalent of reverse seasonal affective disorder myself. While the blue sky is beautiful in photographs, living with it day after day is too much for me. So it makes a perfect backdrop for these plants and sets them off in the most lovely way -- great composition! But give me clouds and rain or snow every time... (I know, I'm weird)...
